For Identity and Access Management info, there’s no better source than Gartner IAM. Covering everything from analytics-driven IAM to balancing the user experience vs. security, this event opens on the first day with keynote speaker and Gartner analyst Gregg Kreizman speaking about the roadmap of IAM. Other sessions cover the latest IAM best practices and strategies and the most recent research covering IAM as a service, mobile and cloud deployments.

InfoSec World helps industry professionals stay up to date on the biggest security challenges. This is Europe’s top information security event. In fact, InfoSec Europe is by far the region’s biggest and most comprehensive event of its kind. Per the summit’s website, around 90 percent of attendees come specifically to see these remarkable advances in cybersecurity. A mainstay in the cybersecurity scene for over 15 years, Black Hat USA is a contender for the most relevant cybersecurity event in the world. The primary goal of Black Hat USA is to bring together the best minds in the industry, and they never fail to deliver.
The summit’s unique format, the Black Hat Briefing, allows industry professionals to meet with leading researchers, where they work jointly to address exploits discovered that year. Many vulnerabilities have been revealed at Black Hat events.

The DEF CON summit was pioneered by Dark Tangent and has been running for 25 years. This year’s theme is, “Community, Discovery and the Unintended Uses of Technology.” This event is one of the more unusual experiences on this list, and it is highly recommended. There is a strong emphasis on individual exploration, and as such, DEF CON tends to be less structured than other events. Nevertheless, there is something here for everyone.

While the schedule has yet to be released, this is the largest IAM summit attracting a wide range of Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies, including Microsoft, Ping Identity, Sail Point and One Identity; just to name a few. What makes this summit unique is the high percentage of qualified IT buyers, with their decision makers to boot. Everyone at the conference is looking for new solutions and services, which makes for great network opportunities. Additionally, the number of C-level participants and those involved with IT budgeting at Gartner, compared to other IT events is quite high. So, you will really get to know decision makers and gain from solutions.
