Devised in the ’70s and declassified in the ’90s, RSA is a mainstay cryptosystem. The annual RSA Conference covers exciting developments in cybersecurity in general and RSA specifically. In addition, the event gives you access to industry thought leaders as well as to the latest cybersecurity tactics and technologies. This cybersecurity event is famous for its hands-on sessions; you won’t want to miss them!

Don’t miss this talk on:

This year’s impressive keynote speakers include:

Gartner IAM UK

March 6-7
London, UK

For Identity and Access Management info, there’s no better source than Gartner IAM. Covering everything from analytics-driven IAM to balancing the user experience vs. security, this event opens on the first day with keynote speaker and Gartner analyst Gregg Kreizman speaking about the roadmap of IAM. Other sessions cover the latest IAM best practices and strategies and the most recent research covering IAM as a service, mobile and cloud deployments.

InfoSec World

April 3-5
ChampionsGate, Florida, US

InfoSec World helps industry professionals stay up to date on the biggest security challenges. The summit takes a dual approach, focusing on both cybersecurity strategy and the technologies that make those approaches possible. The summit is broken down into seven tracks so that you can prioritize sessions, covering topics like ‘Information Security Assessments: Building bridges instead of making enemies’ and ‘Is Enterprise Resiliency the New Security Strategy?’

This year’s keynote will be delivered by Rich Mogull, Founder and CEO, Securosis on Radical Remodeling: Renovating Security for Today's Problems and Tomorrow's Opportunities.

SANS

April 7-14
Orlando, Florida, US

SANS is a global leader in information security training and operates an annual top-tier cybersecurity event with a twist: instead of lectures and info sessions, the event features over 40 hands-on, live-training, highly accredited courses. As a testament to the high level of training offered at this conference, many courses sell-out every year.. With a keynote delivered by SANS Senior Instructor Eric Conrad on "Quality not Quantity: Continuous Monitoring's Deadliest Event”, this is an event for anyone that is looking to hone new skills or develop existing ones.

European Identity & Cloud Conference

May 9-12
Munich, Germany

Following on the heels of Gartner, this is hands-down Europe’s greatest Identity and Access Management event. The summit covers IAM risk management, compliance, governance, and cloud security. In its eleventh year, the EIC will once again update you on IAM best practices as well as give you access to this year’s top vendors, thought leaders and potential customers.

This year’s key topics include:

  • Identity Analytics and Risk-Based IAM Planning
  • Adaptive Authentication: Preparing for the Post-Password Era
  • Privacy by Design: A Practical Approach to Reaching GDPR-Readiness

This year’s exhibitors list features some of the biggest names in the industry: SailPoint, IBM, SSH Communications Security, Bomgar Corporation, and Beta Systems, to name a few.

InfoSec Europe

June 6-8
London, UK

This is Europe’s top information security event. In fact, InfoSec Europe is by far the region’s biggest and most comprehensive event of its kind.  This year’s summit features over 300 exhibitors, each of whom are eager to demonstrate top-tier security solutions. Make sure that you visit the one-of-a-kind Discovery Zone to interact with new vendors.

Cloud Identity Summit

June 19-22
Chicago, Illinois, US

Due to the increased use of IoT devices, we are now seeing Big Data and Artificial Intelligence being applied and utilized in newer and bigger ways. For this reason, this year's Summit will focus on ‘Intelligent Identity’. This event brings together leaders from across the identity and security industries to probe and offer solutions in a wide range of issues like, enhancing data security, improving business outcome and reducing fraud and risk.

Below are a few of this year’s stellar speakers:

Identity Management

June 21
London, UK

Tailor-made for IAM practitioners, this event focuses on the dangers of complacency in 2017 more than ever. Find out why the IAM industry is poised to breach the $18-billion mark by 2019, and how you can leverage its estimated 15 percent compound growth rate.

This year’s summit will host leading IAM thinkers such as:

  • Sarb Sembhi, Chief Technology Officer of a top UK media company
  • Colin Wallis, Executive Director, Kantara Initiative
  • Marek Zakrzewski, IAM consultant

Black Hat USA

July 22-27
Las Vegas, Nevada, US

A mainstay in the cybersecurity scene for over 15 years, Black Hat USA is a contender for the most relevant cybersecurity event in the world. The primary goal of Black Hat USA is to bring together the best minds in the industry, and they never fail to deliver.

The summit’s unique format, the Black Hat Briefing, allows industry professionals to meet with leading researchers, where they work jointly to address exploits discovered that year. Many vulnerabilities have been revealed at Black Hat events.

DEF CON

July 27-30
Las Vegas, Nevada, US

The DEF CON summit was pioneered by Dark Tangent and has been running for 25 years. This year’s theme is, “Community, Discovery and the Unintended Uses of Technology.” This event is one of the more unusual experiences on this list, and it is highly recommended. There is a strong emphasis on individual exploration, and as such, DEF CON tends to be less structured than other events. Nevertheless, there is something here for everyone.

A few things you can expect at DEF CON:

  • Contests
  • Scavenger hunts
  • Movie marathons
  • Voided warranties
  • Unintended consequences
  • Sleep deprivation

Gartner IAM Summit

November 28-30
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

While the schedule has yet to be released, this is the largest IAM summit attracting a wide range of Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies, including Microsoft, Ping Identity, Sail Point and One Identity; just to name a few. What makes this summit unique is the high percentage of qualified IT buyers, with their decision makers to boot. Everyone at the conference is looking for new solutions and services, which makes for great network opportunities. Additionally, the number of C-level participants and those involved with IT budgeting at Gartner, compared to other IT events is quite high. So, you will really get to know decision makers and gain from solutions.

You can check out last year’s agenda here and check back in soon as more details become available.

That’s it, folks! Eleven amazing IAM and cybersecurity events, none of which you should miss, under any circumstances. But since that probably isn’t possible, we hope this list at least helps you hone in on the one or two events that you think will put you a cut above your competition.
